On March 24, 2023, at the initiative of the Academic and Research Medical Institute of Sumy State University, the Public Association “Council of Scientific Editors of Ukraine” and the editor-in-chief of the Eastern Ukrainian Medical Journal O.I. Smyan the International online webinar “The best standards of scientific publication and communication” was held. A meeting with an expert.” The main speaker of the meeting was Armen Gasparyan, MD, PhD, FESC, Associate Professor of Medicine; Department of Research & Development, Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust, Teaching Trust of the University of Birmingham, Dudley, UK; Expert reviewer of Scopus journal applications; Member, World Association of Medical Editors; Past Council Member of European Association of Science Editors and Past Chief Editor of European Science Editing journal. The webinar was attended by scientific authors, graduate students, doctoral students, editors from all over Ukraine.
During the webinar, the following topical issues for scientists were successfully considered and discussed: conducting scientific research – online survey of patients or specialists and preparing it for publication; open access tools and online platforms; the best standards for writing a systematic literature review, how to become an expert reviewer and Scopus – the best platform for finding scientific information and analyzing it.
