Since the creation of the department, a student research group on “Pediatrics” has been functioning. His scientific interests are focused on the study of diagnosis, course, treatment and prevention of somatic and infectious diseases of childhood. Students and graduate students participate in the meetings of the scientific circle, scientific seminars of the department, scientific and scientific-practical conferences. The awardees carry out scientific research within the framework of the scientific research work of the department “Infectious and somatic diseases in children: peculiarities of the course at the modern stage and ways of improving their treatment”. The results of research work are published in the materials of scientific and practical conferences, congresses and professional journals. Since 2022, the head of the group has been Doctor of Medicine, associate professor Smiyan K.O. The meeting of the scientific group takes place once a month and additionally as needed.
